Short breaks
We offer a range of Short Break services for disabled children. These can range from day programmes to overnight stays and longer residential holiday breaks and include high levels of specialist support at all times. They can be tailor made to meet the needs of young people of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities.
We promote high standards of care and wide ranging communication systems including British Sign Language and speech supported by other aspects of Total Communication including Objects of Significance and Reference and visual, tactile and contextual prompts to meet the needs of young people with a wide range of disabilities. We have a fully equipped medical centre on site and nursing staff are available from 8am to 4pm weekdays and On Call daily. In addition, the nursing staff are available 24 hours/7 days a week when more complex young people with medical health needs access the service.

Short breaks
We can offer Short Break dates throughout the academic year and welcome advance bookings. We are limited to the number of beds we can offer at one time and these are allocated on a first come first served basis.
We provide a happy and safe environment through our well organised, skilled and motivated Short Break staff team. Our policies and procedures on safeguarding continue at all times throughout the Short Break provision.
