Fundraising

Fundraising is vital to all areas of the John Townsend Trust as donations and grants fund the bulk of our building maintenance and improvements, special projects and the extra things for our learners that make life more enjoyable such as days out and respite holidays.

Currently fundraising is focused on specific projects. We are developing a Multi-use games area in the school grounds which will greatly enhance our sporting facilities. Our Orchard Shed Project will allow our older students and ROAD residents to restore the Orchard to its former glory and become a useable resource whilst they learn horticultural skills along the way. We are also about to launch a fundraising drive to create a tearoom., shop and butchery at Monkshill Farm which will not only increase the substainability of the Farm but will provide our students with work experience positions, new skills courses and an opportunity to integrate with the hearing world on a regular basis in a supervised and safe enviroment.
